This page is to upload all the articles written by students about their opinions and knowledge on consumer rights. Apart from that, students are allowed to share their previous experiences in any consuming processes and their ways to resolve the issues. The reason The Walkie-Talkies came out with such an idea is because we want to gather more information and testimonies from different students and upload all of them here after the compilation to serve as a reference for other students to study and learn for their daily life.
Consumer rights is a very important act that should not be ignored in worldwide as everyone is living in a world where buying process is the only dominant way for human to survive. Hence, it is very important to learn the consumer rights that we have in this world. In Malaysia, there are laws to protect the consumers. However, many have forgotten the rights they actually authorized as consumers. As a chairperson of this project, I have personally realized that the awareness of consumer rights in Malaysia is extremely vulnerable. Hence, The Walkie-Talkie decided to run this project so that the awareness of consumer rights will raise among students. The reason we focus more on students is because students are the crucial group that should learn about this area before they enter the working industry in future which will involve more buying and consuming process.
In a nutshell, the project of "Saving Consumer Rights" aims to raise the awareness of consumer rights among students. This section will serve as one of the useful page for students to do reference for their knowledge on consumer rights. We believe at the end of this project, many students will be able to understand more on the consumer rights that we have in Malaysia and the consumer rights' awareness will not be as weak as what we seen now.
