About Us

Our Story

We are a group of final year BA (Hons) Mass Communications students from Inti International College Penang. As a part of consumer in Malaysia, each of our group member had respectively encountered in some situations before whereby we received rough treatments or had misled to false statements from the sellers. It was because we did not sure our rights and authorities as consumers, so we ended up being quiet all the time. Those incidents made us realizing that the consumer rights in our country are extremely weak comparing to other developed countries such as Europe and America. Hence, we came out with an idea of running a project entitled "Saving Consumer Rights" with the aim of creating the awareness of consumer rights among the students. No exception for the public too as more and more people need to know their rights as a consumer in fighting against the consumer abuse by those sellers. We believe it is time for all the people in Malaysia to stand up and fight for our rights as a consumer.

We called ourselves "The Walkie-Talkies" with the slogan of "Networking, Connecting, Publishing". The image beside is our group logo. The bar codes at the top represents the products and services that we purchase in a buying process, whereas the umbrella represents as a sign of protection to consumers in filtering the products and services that we buy.
